The Queen’s Meadow, The Green Park
Marking a milestone in the Coronation Meadows project as the 90th new meadow created in the 60th county, this acre of meadow in the west end of The Green Park in central London was sown with the help of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and representatives of the project from across the UK. Managed by The Royal Parks, it has been named The Queen’s Meadow in honour of Her Majesty The Queen.
Seed for the meadow came from Valebridge Common Coronation Meadow in West Sussex supplemented by seed from Horsenden West Coronation Meadow in Greater London. As our most visible and most urban new Coronation Meadow we are especially excited to see how it establishes in the coming years.
