Cae Tri-cornel, Lampeter
Recipient Meadow
In August 2015, seed was brush-harvested from Cae Blaen-dyffryn, donor Coronation Meadow for Carmarthenshire. The brush harvester was towed by a Land Rover and ripe seed collected included yellow-rattle, common spotted orchid, whorled caraway, slender St John's-wort and common knapweed. This seed was then broadcast at Cae Tri-cornel. Sheep were then turned out onto the receptor field for grazing so that their hooves might push seed into the ground and thereby assist germination.
