Penrhyn Castle, Bangor

Recipient Meadow

In the grounds of Penrhyn Castle, a 19th century neo-Norman castle which sits between Snowdonia and the Menai Strait, this site of 4 hectares will be enhanced over the coming years. Work began in summer 2014 when green hay was strewn here. It is hoped that plant species such as hay rattle, common black knapweed and meadow vetchling will establish here in future.
